PC gaming is always a big deal.
We’re constantly seeing new games on the market, as well as new benchmark scores, so we’re constantly looking for the best ways to benchmark.
So, in this article, we’ll take a look at some of the best PC gaming software out there.
We’ve already covered the best desktop gaming benchmarking software, but now it’s time to talk about the best portable benchmarking programs.
For the most part, these are portable games that you can install on your device or download from the App Store.
Most of them offer pretty much the same performance as their desktop counterparts.
But some, like the latest release of the popular Windows gaming benchmark suite, Microsoft Edge, do add a little bit of extra functionality.
For example, Edge includes a full Windows 10 experience, including support for Edge’s Edge UI, the latest Xbox Game DVR feature, and the ability to add new game profiles.
You can even play games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on the Xbox One X. The PC version of Edge also comes with support for the Windows 10 Creators Update, so you can continue playing games even if you’ve upgraded to the latest version of Windows.
Other portable benchmarkers, like Intel’s Turbo Boost 2.0, offer some added features.
Turbo Boost lets you use the CPU more efficiently, while Turbo Boost 3.0 is a more powerful version of Turbo Boost, which lets you run a more demanding game more efficiently.
These two versions offer slightly different performance, but they both come with an extremely powerful CPU.
And there’s a third, and very similar, version, that offers the same benefits as the previous Turbo Boost and Turbo Boost 4.1 versions, but that only offers an extra boost of 1.5% for CPU performance, so it’s less than half of what Turbo Boost offers.
We’ll talk more about these programs in a moment, but first, let’s take a closer look at the best handheld PC gaming benchmark software.
